Guernsey Water is issuing advice and self-help videos to help islanders avoid the hassle of leaks and bursts on their pipework this winter.

Typical household water bills are set to rise by between £5 and £8 a month next year as Guernsey Water looks to continue investment in maintaining the island's networks.

A long-term programme of investment to future proof water supplies for the northern parishes begins this week, as work on the ring main starts.

Routine maintenance on St Saviour's Reservoir wall will see the walkway over it closed to the public for two months. Work commences on Monday 2nd September.
