Tight budgets and significant investment marked a successful year for Guernsey Water in 2015

Tight budgetary control throughout 2015 has meant that Guernsey Water maintained the same level of expenditure in 2015, compared to 2014, while investing £24 million in the island’s infrastructure.

Guernsey Water’s expenditure remained at the 2014 level of £10.7 million with a marginal increase in income from £15.5 million last year to £15.7 million.

Stephen Langlois, General Manager of Guernsey Water said:  “2015 was a successful, stable year operationally and financially, it was also one of change and forward planning for us as a business.

New Director of Water Services Appointed

Born in Guernsey, the Island is a strong source of identity for Stephen and during this time he has returned frequently with his wife and two children.

A former Grammar School student, Stephen is currently the growth planning manager at Anglian Water, and has over 15 years of professional water and wastewater management experience. He is now looking forward to starting his new role in early July.
