Vauvert to be Closed for Wastewater Project

Guernsey Water will be continuing its project to install a new surface water sewer in Vauvert as part of its strategic separation of surface and foul water sewers.

The project, which will commence on 19th July 2014 and will necessitate the closure of the upper part of Vauvert for 6 weeks during the school summer holidays, will be carried out by local contractors Geotrant/Geomarine. This is the third phase of the project – previous phases also took place during the summer holidays in 2011 and 2012.

Further Information on Le Truchot Wastewater Project

Guernsey Water's forthcoming wastewater flooding alleviation project at Le Truchot will commence on Tuesday 14th January and will incorporate traffic management arrangements and the relocation of the taxi rank.

The traffic management arrangements will consist of limiting the Weighbridge Roundabout to a single traffic lane while work on the roundabout and carriageways is undertaken. Despite this restricted access, one carriageway will remain operational at all times. These arrangements are planned to run from 14th – 26th January.

Wastewater Project in Le Truchot to Start in 2014

Guernsey Water will be carrying out vital works to alleviate surface water flooding around Le Truchot, St Peter Port, from mid-January 2014.

The work, to be carried out by contractors Geomarine, will involve installing a new surface water sewer from the bottom of Le Truchot to connect to an existing sewer under the Weighbridge roundabout.
