Road closures due to sewer renovation programme

The next tranche of short term road closures, as part of Guernsey Water’s on-going island-wide sewer renovation programme, will take place over the next couple of weeks.

The first closure will be at Couture Clos, St Peter Port which has already begun and is due to be completed by Monday 30 November.

Renovation work will also take place at Vauxlaurens Lane, St Peter Port starting on Sunday 29 November and will extend through to Thursday 3 December keeping the road closed throughout this time.

Sewer renovations result in short term road closures

The next tranche of short term road closures, as part of Guernsey Water’s on-going island-wide sewer renovation programme, will take place over the next couple of weeks.

Road works on Ville Au Roi Estate, St Peter Port have already begun and are due to be completed by Monday 19 October.

The renovation work on Nocq Road, St Sampson’s however will now not begin until Monday 19 October and will extend through to Saturday 24 October. The road will be closed for the duration of that time.

New no-dig techniques for sewer renovation work

Guernsey Water, as part of its on-going sewer renovation programme, is carrying out some repair work resulting in a few short term road closures.

The areas identified are:

Temporary traffic lights at Les Banques

Temporary traffic lights will be in place at Les Banques for three weeks from Monday 24 August as part of the vital ongoing Belle Greve outfall replacement project.

A single lane traffic light system will be in operation initially on the northbound carriageway before switching to the southbound carriageway which is likely to cause disruption to vehicles during peak commuting hours.

Guernsey Water would like to apologise in advance for any disruption this is likely to cause road users. 

Route du Longfrie Wastewater Project

UPDATE – Completion of this project will now be on 7th August rather than 18th July due to rock. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Wastewater Network Extension to Start in Route du Longfrie

Guernsey Water is advising islanders that the next phase of its wastewater network extension programme will be commencing in the Route du Longfrie area of St Pierre du Bois from 29th September 2014.

The project to extend the public sewer will incorporate a number of roads in the area, and will take approximately 10 months to complete. Once completed, the extended sewer will allow up to 103 properties to connect.

Sewer Lining Projects to Continue

Guernsey Water will be carrying out the second series of sewer lining projects over the next few weeks as part of its ongoing sewer renovation programme.
