Guernsey Water applies for new chamber build at Belle Greve

Guernsey Water has submitted a planning application as part of the final phase in the Belle Greve wastewater programme.

Arrival of pipes signals final phase of the Belle Greve Wastewater programme

Nine sections of pipe, totalling more than two and a half miles in length, will shortly be making their voyage from Norway, as part of the final phase of Guernsey Water’s upgrade of the island’s wastewater facilities.

Improvement Project Carried out at Kings Mills Water Treatment Facility

Guernsey Water has completed significant improvement works on its clean water treatment plant at Kings Mills, Castel.

The project, which lasted 18 months, included the upgrading of existing pumps which had been in place since the 1930’s when the plant was first built. Other improvements included the installation of state-of-the-art mechanical screens to remove debris from the incoming raw water, new chemical transfer and dosing facilities, re-lining of the clean water tanks and connection to Guernsey Water’s remote monitoring system.

Our 2012 Annual Report is ready...!

Guernsey Water has now released its 2012 Annual Report, which demonstrates the progress made against set objectives during that 12-month period. It is also the first time that Guernsey Water has reported on both the clean water and wastewater functions.
