Sewer Lining Projects to Continue in St Peter Port

Guernsey Water will be carrying out its latest phase of sewer lining projects over the next several weeks as part of its ongoing sewer renovation programme.

Working with contractors Environmental Techniques, sewers which have been identified through CCTV surveying as being in need of rehabilitation will be either lined or patched using the latest ‘no-dig’ techniques.

Emergency Closure in Rohais due to Sewer Blockage

Guernsey Water is closing the Rohais this evening from 6pm due to a sewer blockage near the junction with Courtil St Jacques.

The work, which is expected to take no more than a few hours, will involve the jetting of the sewer in order to clear it out and allow sewage to flow freely. Failure to clear the sewer could result in sewage flooding at nearby properties.

Two-Way Traffic Re-introduced Along Les Banques

Guernsey Water is pleased to announce that the temporary traffic lights along Les Banques have been removed this morning and replaced with two-way traffic.

The removal of the temporary traffic lights will significantly improve the flow of traffic and reduce the disruption that has been caused over the past two weeks. The traffic lights were planned to be in place until Sunday 26th May, so their removal is nearly a week ahead of schedule.
